Little Miss Sunshine

Dear readers,

As September has come and I am still looking for an interesting job related to International Trade, especially intercultural communication, in particular with Asian countries, I need to slow down a little the rythm of articles. I think one article every two days can be a reasonable compromise.

As you probably know, looking for a job in France or abroad is a real job! Will let you know, of course, when I will reach my goal on this matter.

In the meanwhile, I am pleased to introduce you the film LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE and will give you a summary of Oliver Stone’s life and works to anticipate the future film World Trade Center which will go out in France on September, 20^th in a few hours.

I really enjoyed this film as it is always a pleasure to recover the heroin of “Muriel”, Toni Collette. It is a family untypical road movie across the United States, a real comic drama with a certain sense of humour!

You can discover a gallery of uncredible characters: Sheryl, the mother who has very strict morals (moralite) and try to escape the weaknesses of her relatives; Richard, the father, a coach in professional life and also an optimistic loser; Dwayne, the son who swore silence until his examination at the Air Force; the grandfather, heroin addicted; the uncle with suicidal ideas and finally Olive, the bespectacled (binoclarde) and tubby (boulotte) daughter who dreams of becoming the new Miss Little Sunshine.

Spicy dialogues, crazy events, cliches which are broken up and six excellent actors. The result is quite good and I recommend you going to cinema to see this film. For record, it is the Grand Prix from the Deauville Festival 2006, the American Festival in France.

Premiere Magazine says: “it is the film of this month”. So enjoy it! For information, nearly all the audience applaused at the end when I saw it last week.
