Let us taste the rat-a-too-ee dish!

RATATOUILLE or a delicious adventure to share ! I discovered this afternoon the latest computer animation film (the eight) from the Pixar Animation Studios distributed by Walt Disney Pictures and it is really excellent!I must confess that I was not a fan of cartoons or animation films even if for a while I worked as a purchasing manager assistant for kid's and baby's garments under licences such as Disney or Barbie, and Finding Nemo convinced me. So I am a fervent admirer of the Pixar's team skills and abilities. ** Extract from... [Lire la suite]

My best friend - Mon meilleur ami

Dear all, Have you ever heard about the new film from Patrice Leconte? It is called in French "mon meilleur ami, "my best friend" in English.I recommend it to you for two reasons. Firstly, the topic of the film is related to friendship and let us ask the question "what is a best friend? how can we recognize him/her? what worths friendship?".Served by two exceptional actors, Daniel Auteuil and Dany Boon, this film points out human feelings and selfish from each of us. The bad guy is represented by... [Lire la suite]

Perfume: The story of a murderer

Dear readers,I had the opportunity to see a great film: "Perfume: the story of a murderer".I really enjoyed reading the novel from Patrick Süskind a few years ago and I must admit the adaptation is delicate, sensitive and reliable (fidele). I sincerely recommend you to see it as the atmosphere is exactly the same as on the novel. Only scents were missing on theater, otherwise all would have been perfect. For your record, Patrick Süskind has refused for 20 years to sell the rights to adapt his novel on screens. 15... [Lire la suite]

A smoking film

Hi everyone ! While in France, the debate about smoking or not smoking is a political “hot potato” at the moment between the UMP deputies and others, the film “Thank you for smoking” arrived on screens in September 13th. I have not seen it yet but will let you know my impressions about it as soon as possible. I would like also to see “Le diable s’habille en Prada” as I read the book and really enjoyed it. Coming soon, in October 4th also “The perfume” from Patrick Suskind’s book. A real masterpiece! Hope the... [Lire la suite]

Little Miss Sunshine

Dear readers, As September has come and I am still looking for an interesting job related to International Trade, especially intercultural communication, in particular with Asian countries, I need to slow down a little the rythm of articles. I think one article every two days can be a reasonable compromise. As you probably know, looking for a job in France or abroad is a real job! Will let you know, of course, when I will reach my goal on this matter. In the meanwhile, I am pleased to introduce you the film LITTLE... [Lire la suite]

Lady in the water & The wind that shakes the Barley

Dear all, Enjoy going to cinema thanks to two noticeable (perceptible, sensible) films! Each has its own style and is in a different register (registre). The first one “The wind that shakes the Barley” (“Le vent se leve” in French) received this year the Gold Palm in Cannes. The Festival jury awarded not only the artistic success of this movie but also Ken Loach’s integrity towards his commitment to rebels, militants, unwanted people such as unemployed, alcoholics and immigrants. This upsetting (bouleversant) film... [Lire la suite]

You cannot ignore the latest Johnny Depp’s film (Pirates of the Caribbean – The dead Man's Chest produced by Disney) was released last Wednesday in France and is expected to become a huge success as the first episode of the series!
